Veteran Application and Selection Process

Selection is based on the enlistment year, application date of receipt, and the vet's age.  Currently, the waitlist for Vietnam Vets is between one and three flights.  There is no wait for WWII and Korean Veterans.

Veterans may not apply for a particular flight;  applicants are placed on a waitlist by enlistment year, application date of receipt, and the vet's age.

ALL post-WWII Vets must include 

a DD214 with their applications in 

order to be considered for a flight.

The only qualification to be selected for an Honor Flight is to have served in the military in any capacity and to have been honorably discharged.  Use the following guide to select the appropriate application:

• WWII Application:     For veterans who first served prior to December 31st, 1946
• Korean Application:   For who served at some point between 1950-1955
• Vietnam Application:  For veterans who were serving at some point between 1961-1975
• Other Veterans:           For those who served in between the above listed eras
