Volunteer Opportunities-


Volunteer Applications are for individuals wanting to volunteer within the

 organization at events, meetings, or administratively.


The Volunteer Application CAN NOT be used to apply as a veteran's 

guardian, and will not be considered as such.


Guardian Applications are not available to the public; they are issued by 

invitation only.  Guardian Applications are for HHF-approved individuals 

who have been nominated by their family-member veterans to fly as 

guardians to Washington DC.  Not all veterans are eligible to  nominate

and take a family-member guardian on a flight. 


Liaisons will notify veterans if there is a guardian seat available, and then

work with the prospective guardian to complete the application process. 

The guardian application is not  available to the public.  


Volunteering is a great way to give back to local veterans in Kansas City.  This application is for prospective volunteers, not guardians wishing to fly to Washington D.C with a veteran.  HHF requires that you volunteer prior to submitting an application to fly as a guardian.
